In this post we’ll take a look at one of the latest contenders producing their take on the iPad car mount. ModulR has come out with an iPad accessory system that works around the modulR iPad case. There are currently four components to their accessory system – the car mount, desktop stand, shoulder strap and wall mount. These interchangeable accessory attachments allow you to get full usage out of your iPad whether you are at relaxing at home or on a road trip.

ModulR Car Mount

With many of the car mounts currently being announced and released, many of these are focusing on mounting the iPad to your front dashboard. Some people have some reservations about adding another distraction for a driver what with cell phones and  texting accidents increasing accidents across the country. The ModulR iPad car mount is different in that it securely mounts to the rear seat head rest allowing backseat passengers access to the iPad whether they are watching the latest movie from Netflix or playing Scrabble with their siblings.

The other accessories that can be used with the modulR iPad case are the wall mount which has a low profile designed to mount on your kitchen wall where you can either listen to music or view recipes for cooking. The desktop kickstand accessory allows you to view a movie or have your digital pictures rotate. With the shoulder strap accessory you can sling it over your shoulder while on the go. Personally the last accessory would leave me a little concerned as I would hate to drop the iPad or have it banging around with no cover though the modulR case may actually protect your device.

Word on the net is that the modulR iPad case with its accessory system should hit the market this summer. As the actual product hasn’t yet been released there is no pricing in place for either the modulR system or its iPad car mount.
